Cooking

As the Innkeeper of Shady Oaks Farm Bed and Breakfast I'm often asked "How did you learn to cook?" This is a question I always have a hard time answering.  "Life" is the most simple yet complicated answer.  My Grandma Daisy, my Mother and Aunt Jane are all exceptional cooks.  All three of them are able to cook for the masses, with an outcome of really good, farm fresh tasting food.  I've always enjoyed cooking a great deal.  I remember making a huge mess in the kitchen routinely as a child and getting into trouble.  I also love to travel to discover new people and their food.  I love my friends who cook in front of me because you can always learn from watching others.  I never want my friends or family to be done cooking  before I come over because I really love watching the interworking's of them in their kitchen.  Cooking good food is an art, watching a person in their kitchen flow around and create food is a true love of mine.  Lastly, my daughter has discovered the love of cooking and creating food to delight the eye and pallet.  Together we watch reality TV shows about cooking all the time.
